Fujitsu, a developer of biometric and other technologies, has released the world’s first waterproof mobile phone. It is called F-01A. This model is based on the Symbian operating system. It offers a combination of the” next generation ,complete entertainment”.

The general manager of the mobile phone group of Fujitsu, Katsumi Takada said,” Users of the new F-01A not only enjoy the peace of mind offered by its waterproof capability but also by the integrated fingerprint security which helps protect its stored files and personal information”.

F-01A will still work if dunked in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. It features a 5.2 megapixel camera as well as 3.5 inch VGA touch-screen with built-GPS. It also work as fingerprints scanning device.

Now Google researchers and developers have created an app that allows for voice recognition while using the search engine. You can get this app through the iTunes store and will enable users to say something like, “How many megapixels does the Olympus E-30 have?” After that app will then convert the audio to a digital file to be sent to Google’s servers and search engine. That should make navigating your way along Times Square much easier if trying to get from the Hard Rock Cafe to ICP.

T-Mobile launched the new G1 mobile phone into the U.K. market Thursday. The G1 comes free with a £40-a-month contract and boasts a number of high-end features including global satellite positioning, wireless internet access and built-in support for a number of Google applications.
